Hood ceiling 90 cm B_Ambient

Barazza B_Ambient 1KBAS9 is a ceiling cooker hood designed for a 90 cm kitchen module. Its satin-finished AISI 304 stainless steel panel uses perimeter extraction, drawing air around the central panel. This is a built-in ceiling appliance, so the ceiling construction and duct route need to be considered during planning. It is not a wall hood with a telescopic chimney. The official drawing shows external dimensions of 900 × 500 mm and a separate built-in cut-out of 870 × 476 mm.

Extraction and controls

Soft Touch electronic controls provide three regular speeds and an intensive setting. Barazza states a nominal motor flow of 1000 m³/h and pressure of 425 Pa. The published sound power range is 41–72 Lw(dBA). The LED light bar has a 3000 K colour temperature. Two stainless steel filters are fitted, with a maintenance reminder for cleaning them. The air exchange function can run the hood automatically for ten minutes every hour at a medium speed. A remote control is included for selecting a speed and operating the light from elsewhere in the room.

Ducting and ceiling installation

For external extraction, the outlet is Ø 150 mm and a reducer to Ø 120 mm is specified. Filtering operation is optional and needs suitable additional parts; the double carbon filter 1FC1 is listed as an accessory. The hood is also prepared for control through a compatible Barazza scale. The included remote and that separate scale are different items. Before installation, check the cut-out, the strength of the ceiling, the space above the finished surface and the proposed duct route against the official drawing.

Dimensions and planning

The 900 mm external width corresponds to the nominal module size. The 870 × 476 mm opening is a built-in cut-out and must not be used as an external dimension. Barazza states energy rating B and maximum absorbed power of 0.3 kW. The drawing also lists a gross weight of 25.5 kg and package dimensions of 1060 × 620 × 380 mm; those describe transport packaging rather than the installation opening.
